“Roman Anthony has the most Italian family of all time.”

On Tuesday, Roman Anthony hit a double, bringing in two runners to help the Red Sox in a 3-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays. After the game, Anthony answered questions about his family’s support of him, and the internet had a lot to say about the bunch.
“It was awesome,” said Anthony about his first hit in an interview with NESN. “It was awesome to have my family here. Even better just to get the win.”
The Anthony pack was sitting next to the Red Sox dugout after they missed Anthony’s debut on Monday.
“It was unfortunate they couldn’t be here yesterday, obviously on quick notice, but it’s even better that they got to come here today and experience a win,” said Anthony, who is a Florida native.
He expressed how their support “means everything.”
“They’ve been there,” said Anthony. “All those people you see over there, they’ve been there every step of the way for me. They believed in me every step of the way.”
The Red Sox fan base loved the Anthony family debut as the internet was filled with jokes. One user posted, “Roman Anthony has the most Italian family of all time.”
