The publication revealed its annual “Best of Boston” winners across 250 categories on Tuesday, including restaurants that range from best late-night kitchen to best Dubai chocolate.
Boston magazine announced its Best of Boston winners on Tuesday, unveiling an annual list highlighting standout spots across the city — including more than 70 dining destinations to check out in 2025.
The publication named winners in more than 250 categories across topics spanning dining, shopping, service, arts and city life, kids, home, wedding, suburbs, and the Cape and Islands.
“Every year, our editors and writers spend months testing and debating the city’s finest restaurants, bars, salons, and more,” Chris Vogel, editor in chief of Boston magazine, said in a release. “We’re excited to once again unveil the places that should be on every Bostonian’s must-visit list this year.”
Some of the restaurants awarded in the dining category included:
- Sarma (249 Pearl St., Somerville) for Best Restaurant, General Excellence
- La Padrona (38 Trinity Pl., Boston) for Best Italian Restaurant
- Mr. H (225 Northern Ave., Boston) for Best Late-Night Kitchen
- Neptune Oyster (63 Salem St., Boston) for Best Lobster Roll, Classy
New City Microcreamery (in Cambridge, Hudson, and Sudbury) for Best Dubai Chocolate
The publication also awarded best neighborhood restaurants, like Suya Joint in Roxbury, Cunard Tavern in East Boston, and Singh’s Roti Shop in Dorchester.
“Heaping portions of the namesake roti are the star at this counter-service neighborhood favorite, transporting you to Trinidad via flatbread-wrapped curry goat, saltfish, oxtail, or other meats,” the publication wrote of Singh’s Roti Shop.
Outside of dining, notable winners across categories included EveryBody Fights in the Seaport and Downtown Boston for Best Gym Membership, LoveStruck Books in Cambridge for Best Bookstore, and “Big Hoops to Fill” on the Rose Kennedy Greenway for Best Hidden Gem.
