Authorities are investigating the fatal shooting of a man Monday night in Dorchester.
Boston police said officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of 11 Levant St. around 8:51 p.m. While on their way to the scene, officers learned a person had been shot in front of 4 Levant St., the department said.
Officers found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to Boston Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
As of Tuesday morning, no arrests had been made.
