6 hospitalized in early morning fireplace in Framingham

Six people were hospitalized Saturday after they were injured in an early morning fire in Framingham, officials said.

At about 12:25 a.m., crews responded to a second-floor blaze at 363 Concord St., the Framingham Fire Department said on Facebook. Firefighters conducted an “aggressive” attack and contained the fire to the second floor.

Six people who were injured at the scene, one of whom is in critical condition, were taken to hospital for medical treatment, according to fire officials. The City of Framingham shared later that morning that four of the injured individuals were treated and released from the hospital.

The fire displaced seven people and caused an estimated $75,000 in damages, fire officials said. No fire personnel were injured, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

“I am proud of the outstanding work by Group 4, Brewster Ambulance, and our mutual aid partners who provided station coverage during the incident,” Framingham Fire Chief Michael Dutcher said.
